Mildred is afraid they will find out she owns book. Montag hopes the books will be a way to understand

She has never heard someone read a poem, she was shocked and didn’t know how to react. 

9. What is Montag’s destination at the end of section II? Why?
To burn his books because he knew that men where planning to burn his books
